With the great Kidz-In-Charge 2012 event, the children were asked to share their
experiences at the Marina Barrage on the postcards. For those children who did
not attend the event at Marina Barrage, they were asked to draw their
experiences based on the story “The very big storm” and shared about what they
understood about ‘Cooperation’. They were able to recall the learning process
through various activities that had been conducted in the classroom.

Let’s take a peek at some pictures of your children in
action. Enjoy!
Using their creativity, each child was trying their
best to draw and decorate the postcards beautifully.
Kindergarten 1
Rexanne shared her experiences after her
trip to Marina Barrage with her family during Kidz-In-Charge by making
illustrations on a postcard. She mentioned that she saw beautiful fireworks and
heart-shaped balloons over there. She also added on that she had fun reading
the book “A Very Big Storm” with her family.
Zavier said he
enjoyed looking at the fireworks and playing with his friends at Marina
Barrage. Lu Young on the other hand
mentioned that he loved playing water with Jing Yin and his elder brother at
the fountain. Both drew their experiences on their postcards.
The rest of the
children like Fang Fei, Dion and Ethan who were not present to witness the
event at Marina Barrage drew something different on their postcards. They wrote
words like “cooperation” and “working together” and drew children holding
hands. They also shared their experiences working as a team as they played some
ball games together with the class.

the rest of her friends pen down their thoughts.

co-operation.
***********************
Writing on the postcards about ‘Cooperation’ marked
the closure of the Kidz-In-Charge event for this year. We hope that the
activities planned and carried out for the children helped them to understand
the meaning of ‘Cooperation’. We also hope that this value continued to instill
and practiced by each child.
See you again next year for another enriching
Kidz-In-Charge! J
